Lally began working with Iowa's first Manure Management Plans (MMP) in 1990 with the new confined swine facilities including both earthen basins and formed manure storage structures. He completed Iowa's first Comprehensive Nutrient Management Plan (CNMP) during 2000. Since then, Lally has completed over 500 MMP, Nutrient Management Plan (NMP), CNMP, Integrated Pest Management (IPM), Grazing and Organic Transition Plans while building in precision conservation management strategies with farmers of all sizes.
He's worked livestock and crop production enterprises to include cattle feedlots, cow/calf, dairies, farrow to finish swine, ewe/lamb, turkeys, broilers, corn, soybeans, double-crop systems, irrigation and dryland, vegetable and fruit, grass-fed beef and high-tunnel vegetable farms.
Lally is certified by NRCS in 8 states in the the US Midwest.
