As valued members of the U.S. agricultural community, Purdue University, NRCS, and MyFarms want Technical Service Providers to be among the first to know that MMP v4.0 is now available! You can get a link to download it right now.
Here are the improvements that MMP v4.0 affords relative to MMP v0.3.8.2:
- Starting Year - The starting year input on the "General" page (and downstream features) has been extended to support new plan creation through 2040.
- Soil Info - The SSURGO soil type data was updated on 2/10/2021. This update can be observed by clicking "Fields" then "Soil Info" and reading the "Soil File Rev" date in the upper right corner.
- Erosion Data - The RUSLE2 Management options and related erosion values have been updated to the latest version published by USDA.
- TX and NC - We have added nutrient management support for users in Texas and North Carolina.
Future MMP development efforts will center on updating nutrient management, P-Index, and other state-specific calculation logic. Please let us know if you have any questions or ideas for improving MMP and best of success with your future manure management planning activities!
Sincerely,
MMP Support
