Training Announcement – “Soil Health Basics for Technical Service Providers” is Available

 “Soil Health Basics for TSPs”
is available to implement Soil Health Management Plans through Conservation Activity Plans 116 (CAP 116).

​The Soil Health Division has scheduled the first national course focusing on certification of Technical Service Providers (TSPs) to write soil health management system plans. 
 
When: April 27-29, 2021, starting at 10:30 am Eastern Time Zone daily
 
Where: This training will be hosted by the USDA NRCS Soil Health Division through virtual delivery. 
 
Who: Technical Service Providers, Certified Crop Advisors, Conservationists, SWCD Employees and others wishing to become Technical Service Providers certified for CAP 116
 
What:  This course “Soil Health Basics for TSPs” provides targeted guidance for those individuals seeking to be certified to write Soil Health Management Plans using Conservation Activity Plan (CAP) 116. Completion of this course will meet the requirement for the CAP 116 to complete NRCS-NEDC.
Participants will be introduced to soil health planning principles and applicable inventory and evaluation tools to identify specific resource concerns on the land and to develop practice recommendations to address those resource concerns.
 
Certified Crop Advisor credits will be available.
